Yes, photography can be extremely expensive. Cameras, lenses, lights, gimballs, drones,.. Some of us need cameras with certain features and sadly enough those machines are difficult to find if your budget is limited. A basic Sony A7IV body will set you back a good 2700€.. and that's just a basic camera, not a specialized tool like an A7RV, A7CR, A7SIII, FX3, A1 or A9III.. those go up to 7000€.  And don't get me started on medium format cameras from Fuji, Hasselblad, Leica or Phase One. Often it's said that it is even more important to invest in good glass , meaning: good lenses. Those can be crazy expensive.. however.. you don't use all your lenses as often.. so maybe for some you might consider a more budget friendly option? Used lenses. Vintage lenses with an adapter . This article is about using (vintage) Minolta/Sigma/Sony/Tamron/.. A-mount lenses on contemporary Sony E-mount cameras. Since the Sony LA-EA5 adapter has been released I have been answering dozens of the same questions about compatibility issues from both retailers and end-users.
