Happy Newyear and congratulations to all those born in the Year of the Horse.. even more so because you also bring luck to us Dogs. This Chinese Newyear started on February 17th and since the festivities are ongoing till March 3rd; this weekend the celebration came to the peaceful town of Tongeren. It should have been decently announced by the city, because now most people stumbled upon it by accident or due to being linked to Naahm Kuen , the local Kung Fu / Tai Chi club. A celebration like this deserves more! Mostly because it was a colourful feast for all ages and a very well executed Lion dance by Yip's Lion Dance Team . You read that right: Have a great 2024 ! Try to make the year count. I'll be doing only a few of the same things I've done in 2023. A short christmassy timelapse video Things that will change in 2024 : ▶ First of all I'll be doing less events. After Covid there was this rush to start over and do as many as possible again, but 2023 left me completely exhausted, stressed, frustrated & anxious. My body told me several times to calm down and after a while even the most stubborn person starts to listen. ▶ Got a season's pass to Pairi Daiza so I'll try to go see the animals instead. Calm down. Relax. ▶ Trying to head into the  Pyrenees mountains again. Leave society & the abundance of their illogical rules behind me for a bit.
