An image made for & dedicated to a great lover of high heels and a great friend for almost 3 decades who unexpectedly passed away on May 8th 2020. At 11AM he was still making silly remarks for my birthday (that very same day) and at 2PM he was gone, leaving us all sad & baffled.  Farewell my friend.

Stores are slowly reopening (since May 11th in Belgium) and masked shopaholics are queuing up outside to get their fix.

This virus is teaching us very important lessons.. the same lessons dystopian scifi movies & disaster/zombie-movies have tought us.. Survivalists were right: instinct quickly takes over once society's foundations are lightly shaking, freedom & privacy are swiped off the table in the name of safety and the authoritarian states are doing better than democracies.. and spreading their wings on waves of propaganda. (Check this VRT NWS article ) Let us remember the fallen and see what the future brings.

Brandenburg (Germany) is a great place to urbex.. as long as you don't get caught!  Some Lost Places lie hidden in the woods, others are guarded and need bribes to enter. Most have been found by other urbexers and ransacked.. Once in a while one looks like only Nature has done the ransacking.  Some are putrid and poisonous. Others hide little birds and colourful art. During Shankra festival i shot one of the best fire shows in a very long time by: Haury Thomas, Barbara Wildmann, the Purple Pixies & the Earth Dragons. The photos are on Flickr.

Yesterday I was testing these 2 mirrorless flagship cameras side by side with comparable lenses (A9II + 24-70mm f2.8 GM and A6600 + 16-55mm f2.8 G) and I wondered if people could spot which is which? And then it got out of hand.. a little weird even. Well.. very weird maybe.. but the question remains: which camera made which picture? Some answers: on Flickr .
