This article is about using (vintage) Minolta/Sigma/Sony/Tamron/.. A-mount lenses on contemporary Sony E-mount cameras. Since the Sony LA-EA5 adapter has been released I have been answering dozens of the same questions about compatibility issues from both retailers and end-users. null This Cars & Coffee-meeting was again hosted by Café Poorthuis in Tongeren. If the name of this event rings a bell, that might be because there are C&C-meetings all over the world.  "Cars & Coffee is the global phenomenon where the passion of supercar owners and enthusiasts become reality. It is a world class, multibrand and multiperiod display to share the emotions conveyed by the roar of powerful engines and by the sight of so many stunning cars",   Is what the  official Cars & Coffee website  states. However: their events have ceased since 2022 and yet in the following weeks there will be similarly named meetings all over Europe.  The multibrand and multiperiod statements were absolutely true for the Tongeren meeting. Sony tech - Rename your photo & video files in-camera

Normally all your photos will be named " DSC123 " and your videos " C123 ". But that's the best way to loose oversight, to overwrite and to forget what was shot when/with which camera. There are solutions for this in the new and newest Sony Alpha / FX / ZV / RX - cameras PHOTO FILES You should give your photo files personalized names instead of that generic ”Dsc” prefix. This is possible on the current Alpha, Rx, Zv, and FX‐cameras from Sony. I give mine the prefix of the used camera because I work with several cameras. But you might just as well use something more personal like something that points to your name or your company / brand name. Or even change the name temporarily if you have a big project. Why? For those who have received their Sony A7RV camera and are new to the Sony ecosystem or who want to find some of the new features hidden in the menu of this 61MP-behemoth with it's extra AI Autofocussing processor ( yes, that makes 3 processors inside 1 camera ) I'm doing a walkthough. Waarom zeg ik steeds ja zodra ik gevraagd word om enkele beelden te maken op een kermis? Smoutebollen! Maar zal ik daar nog lang van kunnen genieten? Het fenomeen waarbij een heel kermisdorp van stad naar stad reist — zoals nu van Tongeren-Borgloon naar de Kermis in Hasselt — is typisch West-Europees . Hoewel vermaak universeel is, is de specifieke cultuur van de reizende foor die het openbare stadsgezicht tijdelijk overneemt, diep geworteld in de geschiedenis van de Lage Landen, Frankrijk en Duitsland.  De Belgische kermiscultuur is uniek en veerkrachtig: op 4 december 2024 werd de Belgische kermiscultuur  trouwens officieel erkend als UNESCO Immaterieel Cultureel Erfgoed. Het landschap van de boekenbeurzen in Vlaanderen is de afgelopen jaren fundamenteel veranderd , mede door het wegvallen van de traditionele Antwerpse Boekenbeurs die ik jarenlang trouw bezocht voor werk en plezier. Na het faillissement van die oude Boekenbeurs ontstond er een groot gat. Dat is niet zozeer opgevuld door honderden kleine rommelmarkten, maar wel door een nieuwe generatie thematische, intieme beurzen én de razendsnelle opkomst van Boektopia.  In plaats van één gigantische hal waar alles samenkwam, kiezen nieuwe initiatieven resoluut voor één genre of doelgroep (zoals Fabel Fest voor fantasy of StoryHeaven in Brussel). Voor Belgische (en vooral Vlaamse) auteurs zijn deze beurzen cruciaal geworden, maar op een andere manier dan vroeger.  Enerzijds is er het  direct lezerscontact.   Grote auteurs stonden vroeger urenlang mechanisch te signeren in Antwerpen. Mondo Verde, the resort where El Mundo Fantasia takes place, has some of the prettiest locations to make images of the renaissance fairs in the Lowlands. I'm not going to repeat the complete overview of sights I listed in this article last year. You can either read it there or discover it yourself on another edition. Instead let us focus on what happened. Wow, that was an intense & dramatic sounding phrase. Don't be scared. What actually happened was that people saved my day. I know, coming from an asocial ambivert, that's a bold & weird statement. . It was just one of those days. It was too hot (31°C). The 1st 90minutes inside were too crowded. I was feeling too tired & was completly exhaused from long, hard weeks of nearly 24/7-work. I was more focussed on pushing a wheelchair uphill than on photos. Sony tech - Save/load camera settings

It's true: once you have completely set-up your Sony Alpha / FX-camera to your likings as I showed you in this video / article , you can save those settings in some of the cameras. This feature can be found on the following Sony cameras at the moment : A7RIV, A9II, A7SIII, A1, A7IV, FX6, FX3, FX30, A7RV. And it seems to be an overlooked feature, judging by the astonished reactions during the trainings I give. 1. What? Save/load settings means you can load a series of settings onto you camera from a memory card or from your phone via the free Sony Imaging Edge Mobile app. Other way around you can save some of your settings onto a memory card or onto your phone. On a memory card you can save 10 settings. ( SD or CFExpress A, depending on your camera) On your phone you can save 22 settings. ( Which are most of the important settings ) Some info you cannot save due to privacy regulations ( Copyright info for example ) You cannot swap settings between different camera types at ...

The " 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference " as it's full name sounds is the latest in a long series of international conferences that should combat climate change. Highly doubtful they'll succede in getting and most importantly enforcing the necessary changes. . . We are already living the results of the current changes in gulfstream/jetstream/climate and still corporations and humans are denying it so they can continue making money from our system of overconsumption. Greed. Shortsightedness. Egocentrism. Egoism. Those traits are defining us.  . That these changes are directly caused by human actions has been proven over and over. Climate change & pollution are 2 sides of the same coin.  Neither a giant meteor, nor the eruption of a supervolcano is causing the next mass extinction event, but the way 1 species is ruling this planet.
