For long after the human race is gone, Red Cathedral will shine in the skies, for now Red Cathedral is officially a star in the Taurus constellation. Just look up at night towards the astronomical position of Right Ascension 4h5m41.61s and Declination 16°55'38.12".. the perfect location to shine on all campfires in the abandoned mountain regions & remote forests. A star for all creative adventurers running away from human society.

This article is about using (vintage) Minolta/Sigma/Sony/Tamron/.. A-mount lenses on contemporary Sony E-mount cameras. Since the Sony LA-EA5 adapter has been released I have been answering dozens of the same questions about compatibility issues from both retailers and end-users. Some questions & personal experiences with the different adapters were special, so I have tested some combinations and made a small list of my findings. Lang geleden dat er nog een publiek genre-evenement werd gedaan.  Ben druk bezig geweest aan nieuwe webpagina's voor Deep Red Noise vzw en Red Cathedral en tegelijk volop plannen aan het uitwerken voor een niche winkelproject genaamd House of the Red Merlin . Wat voor soort winkel zou dat kunnen worden? Wel, als er zich nog investeerders aanbieden om de laatste 10% van het oprichtingsbedrag ( stock is helaas duurder geworden in alle branche s) aan te vullen, dan zou het er snel kunnen komen. Toch even het hoofd buiten gestoken - tussen de regenbuien door - voor een reënactors kampement dat me al jaren nauw aan het hart ligt: De Quaeye Werelt 1477 in het Antwerpse Rivierenhof. 1477 was een belangrijk jaar voor België en de Bourgondische Nederlanden. Sony tech - Rename your photo & video files in-camera

Normally all your photos will be named " DSC123 " and your videos " C123 ". But that's the best way to loose oversight, to overwrite and to forget what was shot when/with which camera. There are solutions for this in the new and newest Sony Alpha / FX / ZV / RX - cameras PHOTO FILES You should give your photo files personalized names instead of that generic ”Dsc” prefix. This is possible on the current Alpha, Rx, Zv, and FX‐cameras from Sony. I give mine the prefix of the used camera because I work with several cameras. But you might just as well use something more personal like something that points to your name or your company / brand name. Or even change the name temporarily if you have a big project. Why? Allow me to sum up a few ingredients that make several ( outdoors ) costume events very enjoyable: No rain + casual strolls through a gorgeous location + drinks with nice people + casually making a photo of a splendid or funny or catchy constume + decent food + things to do/see + musical (re)discoveries + some more wine, whisky, or mead. The annual cosplay day at the Verbeke Foundation , one of the strangest ( yet fascinating ) musea in Belgium, had yet again many of those ingredients in its recipe. Sony tech - Save/load camera settings

It's true: once you have completely set-up your Sony Alpha / FX-camera to your likings as I showed you in this video / article , you can save those settings in some of the cameras. This feature can be found on the following Sony cameras at the moment : A7RIV, A9II, A7SIII, A1, A7IV, FX6, FX3, FX30, A7RV. And it seems to be an overlooked feature, judging by the astonished reactions during the trainings I give. 1. What? Save/load settings means you can load a series of settings onto you camera from a memory card or from your phone via the free Sony Imaging Edge Mobile app. Other way around you can save some of your settings onto a memory card or onto your phone. On a memory card you can save 10 settings. ( SD or CFExpress A, depending on your camera) On your phone you can save 22 settings. ( Which are most of the important settings ) Some info you cannot save due to privacy regulations ( Copyright info for example ) You cannot swap settings between different camera types at ...

For those who have received their Sony A7RV camera and are new to the Sony ecosystem or who want to find some of the new features hidden in the menu of this 61MP-behemoth with it's extra AI Autofocussing processor ( yes, that makes 3 processors inside 1 camera ) I'm doing a walkthough. There will be some real-life samples with cats, cows, fighterjets & horses, some things you probably already know and best of all: 40 minutes of my hoarse bronchitis-stricken voice. Enjoy . Collab - The AI dilemma ( Animating the Imperial Guard)

Last Thursday the tiny dirt road I needed to take was blocked by a concrete barricade. I cursed ( several times ) and then I thought: " That's actually a cool barricade for a Warhammer 40k shoot. " So I got out of the car, took a picture and had an even worse idea. It took 2 old urbex pictures from back in 2016 and the new concrete slab cellphone photo plus some Photoshop compositing magic to let Firefly AI finalize this composition into the kind of Space Hulk tunnel I wanted. Then I combined 2 stills from @Kyden_cosplay 's props + Cadian commissar cosplay ( made during @GeekVillagebelgium + @GeeksandFreaksnl ) and noticed I had not photographed his legs, so I added the lower part from a macrophoto of a commissar-miniature I had shot during Trolls-et-Légendes ( Sorry, don't know who painted it ). Sony tech - Copy your files to another card in-camera

  You can copy the content of a memory card onto another card in camera. SD and/or CF Express A can be mixed depending on the camera you use. Every double cardslot Sony camera has this hidden function. Don't wait years before using it.. like I did. Because it might save you when you forgot cables, cardreaders, have to transfer photos/videos between Mac/PC or you don't want to travel extremely light. 1477 was een belangrijk jaar voor België en de Bourgondische Nederlanden. Na de dood van hertog Karel de Stoute, ook bekend als  Charles Le Téméraire,  in de slag bij Nancy, erfde zijn dochter Maria van Bourgondië het hertogdom. Dit leidde tot de Bourgondische Successieoorlog, een conflict tussen Frankrijk en het Huis Habsburg om de verdeling van de Bourgondische erflanden. En precies in deze context speelt zicht het grote kampement van de Quaeye Werelt af, inclusief een veldslag tussen de Bourgondische troepen en Antwerpse opstandelingen. Event - Sniffing Velvet (2026)

Last Summer we made a series of short videos  in which members of the LGBTQIA+ talked about how they feel in the cosplay scene. Matti, one of the cosplayers, dreamed of becoming a drag queen and gave some insights in the power that a costume and a persona can give . That power was obvious once the stars of Sniffing Velvet  entered the stage.  The baddest bitches in the house did what made them feel alive, good & proud. We should all be able to find something that makes us feel that way. It was fun, there were feathers, booty & smoke and no profanities were shunned. There was a touch of anarchy, the same heartfelt anarchy that made the movie Priscilla, Queen of the desert one of very few enjoyable musical comedies.
