We wish to thank & congratulate Trolls et Légendes on their efforts for the wheelchair-bound visitors. And a BIG thanks to the volunter who assisted us at the entree, well done!. Lover of the Red Dragon

But what of the fair itself?
Ever since the start of Trolls-et-Légendes I've always looked out towards the next one. I've seen times that were so crowded they had to close the entree doors and hope some visitors would leave. I've enjoyed free concerts on an open outdoors stage in stead of a boiling hot tent. I've been drunk and I've eaten strange yet wonderful things. I've seen marvelous costumes and bought my very first kilt.. all during one of those many T&G fairs.

Being an event that takes place every 2 years makes everyone yearn to the next one.. and it also explains the extra long gap due to the C19-pandemic.
Just like every fair it has shrunken in size (less stands on the market, less artists, less games to test,.. which is very normal due to the post-pandemic situation) yet this gave a possibility for larger aisles.. what was actually very possitive for both the disabled visitors & all the BIG costumes.. The Slaaneshi minotaurs even had some space inside to start a spontanuous cagefight in between the stalls.. "No Pain, No Pleasure" (for those who know Warhammer)
Rest assured: next edition I'll be back!
And maybe it will grow again into it's former glory.. but keep the aislespace.

This article is about using (vintage) Minolta/Sigma/Sony/Tamron/.. A-mount lenses on contemporary Sony E-mount cameras. Since the Sony LA-EA5 adapter has been released I have been answering dozens of the same questions about compatibility issues from both retailers and end-users. Some questions & personal experiences with the different adapters were special, so I have tested some combinations and made a small list of my findings. Collab - D'Ursel cosplay day (2024)

Eventhough many September days in 2024 feel more like November days, on Sunday the 15th it was good to be outside. Outside in the park of castle d'Ursel in Hingene the infamous Geert had gathered yet again a mass of cosplayers & photogs and as always I had hidden my set, this time behind an old wall. No line of sight onto the castle, but perfect for " Cosplayers with natural light " & some " Extreme shoot through ". Why not use the castle as a backdrop, you might ask?  It's a pretty castle, yes. It has one really interesting side, alas it was too crowded to build a set & get a constant, uninterupted view. On a quiet day I'll gladly combine the front of the castle with an epoque gown.. but that sunny Sunday was NOT a quiet day. We were so scared! Scared it would rain.. Being wet all day isn't fun. Having the car getting stuck in a drowned parking meadow is not optimal. Getting the cameras soaked is really bad.. but the worst about rain is the mud & puddles that make everything impassable with a wheelchair However there was no need to be scared: Castlefest had some nice Sunday Summer weather! Collab - Dryad fantasy boudoir

Sometimes models come with a boudoir proposition that both sparks my interest and comes at a moment where I have the time to execute it: fantasy boudoir with a Dryad and an Elf in a magical forest .. but softer than the work for The Dark Cathedral and non-nude. " OK, let's do it ," I nodded while already scrolling through my cramped agenda. Evidently I needed a location.. and a back-up location.. just in case . A magical meadow with wildflowers, tree-filtered light and surrounded by young treelings that I had spotted during a hike just days before seemed perfect. A Monday-shoot would ensure that few to no hikers would interfere. Evidently Murphy's law struck, as during the last check at the location a crew was mowing everything away. No worries, for there's a plan B: a bit further into the wild where I had previously done a barbarian shoot . Water, young green trees, awesome eventhough with less magical light. Event - Stadsmuzikantenfestival & MoMent

Hey, don't you wanna know how I've been since I left you behind? (sic ISE) Only last year, in 2023, I discovered there was a music festival in Tongeren. Several bands on the list like were frequently played on the alternative radio station I listen to ( Willy Radio ). On top of that it was held in several locations scattered throughout the medieval beguinage. So I had to shoot it.. at least once..  I went for Isbells & Johannes is zijn naam . I discovered Echo Beatty , Roufaida & the fun of Lupagangang . Got Iron Maiden-beer & ice-cream to cool off. It was a good day.. so let's if 2024 can be as good. Landscape - Le Massif Central

You are completely correct when you think: ▷ Sometimes a person needs to leave their comfort zone to feel comfortable. ▷ The person that comes down a mountain isn't always the same as the person who went up the mountain. ▷ Sometimes when you feel troubled, all you need is a mountain. Once you get to the top of it and watch the world from above, you quickly find a different perspective. Maybe your troubles aren't as insurmountable as they seemed before the purifying climb.  So it was time for another offroad roadtrip with the mates. The original plans were for another trip through the Pyrenees mountain range, but these plans changed last minute into a start in Burgundy ( the dreaded Morvan, to be more precise ) and headed into the volcanic mountain range of the Massif Central . Following large parts of the pilgrim's hiking paths towards St. Jacques of Compostella we quickly realized that these trails were really tailormade for hikers, goat shepherd s or slender quads

Sony tech - Updating your camera firmware

The Youtube video is embedded below or: https://youtu.be/6ZUNffYzWKc It is actually very easy to do a firmware update on a Sony camera .. you just put the firmware on an SD-card and insert it in your camera.. Go into the Menu > Yellow > 12/Setup option > Version > Update software > Scroll through+Accept conditions > .. Ow-no.. that only works on the A7IV, FX30, ZV-E1 & A7RV. For the other ( read: the previou s) cameras it's a bit more work. Let us go through all the different steps: 1. Surf to your local Sony site ( in Dutch or in French or in English ) 2. Choose the camera or lens you want to update ( Note : different Sony sites have sometimes different old items listed. For example on the UK-site you can still find A6300/A6500 ) 3. Event - Winter in Pairi Daiza

Every season Pairi Daiza, Le Jardin des Mondes , hosts special events. The festival of lights & carnaval have brought some light to the dark season.. which is probably not a very good thing for the resident animals.. but it was a blessing for us humans fearing the Dark of Winter . .  A photo gallery: The fire show was by Pyronix Productions & the beautiful Venetian carnevale costumes in the Dome are from Regards Vénitiens . Both splendid! The only 2 things I found a missed opportunity during the 3 weeks of Carnevale were: 1. The teams of costumed people were only to be found in the Dome and at the entrance. Please let them roam the entire park and how wonderful would it be to have them in themed costumes from the different regions in the park.  2. Organise a (1) Fully costumed visitors enter for free -day.. or for a reduced price.
